- [D8603ZAW], Letter from Henry H Ward to Thomas Alva Edison, April 24th, 1886
- Editor's Notes
- Since it appears that you are coming to Orange, I desire, as an old time citizen, to offer words of welcome. From a long residence there, I am ready to testify to the many excellencies of that country and particularly that region for the home of the refined and cultivated New Yorker. ##I feel particularly proud that an old time telegrapher has been so successful pecuniarily that he has been able to secure the most beautiful place in all that region and I hope he may live long in its enjoyment. [TAE Marg.]: "Write and thank him for his kind wishes. As soon as I get settled, want him to come up and see me."
