- Editor's Notes
- [Marked "personal"] There is a firm of cigar manufacturers in this city named Lichten Bros. who wish to start up a new brand in their business and may perhaps call upon me to manage it. ##I have named TAE as one of my references, and in case Mr. Lichten should call, as he will probably see you, I would feel very much indebted to you if you would be kind enough to say as much good in my favor as you think fit. ##The tobacco business is my old business and I am very anxious to obtain the position with Lichten Bros, which would[?] be worth from $3000-$4000 a year for me. Be kind enough to send me your right address, as I have some "Rosa[?] Perfecto," the best you ever smoked. [Added as postcript]: P.S. Please do not inform Licthen Bros. I wrote you.
