- Editor's Notes
- I have been reading about your system of fast telegraphy by perforating and chemical recording in Scribner's Monthly for October, 1879, and I have thought out a plan of a novel keyboard, by means of which I believe it would be possible to transmit messages much faster than by your system of perforating. ##I realize that it is now seven years since the article in question appeared, and you or someone else may have invented something similar to my idea, but I have not heard of it and I should like to make sure. ##Will you kindly inform me where and when I can see you to explain my plans? [TAE Marg.:] "We have keyboard perforators like type [------]."
