- Editor's Notes
- I take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, as I do not suppose you know there is such a lad as myself. I am a son of F.W. Edison of Lorain, O[hio] and therefore a relation of yours and the object of my letter is to ask you for a position in your works. At present, I am in the employ of a Co. in this City in their machine shop, but thinking perhaps you would do better for me than they. I know something of the machines today[?] and would either like to learn that thoroughly or learn the electric business. Hoping that this will meet with your approval and that you will favor me with an early reply.
