Title

[D8627ZAS], Legal Pleading, Standard Hand Rock Drill Co, December 31st, 1886

Editor's Notes

Answer in Machine Works v. Standard Hand Rock Drill Co. case. Defendant (Hand Rock Drill Co.) admits to existence of contract between it and Machine Works, but claims contract was in writing and annexes a copy of it. Also asserts as defense and counterclaim that while it does owe $7270.43 under the contract, it in all other respects duly complied with the contract, while the Machine Works did not deliver the stock drilling machines within the time required by the agreement, but rather delivered them weeks later. Defendant claims to have suffered damages in the sum of $10,000 due to that failure.
