Title
[D8630G], Letter from Grace & Co (Chile), Willis N Stewart to Samuel Insull, January 20th, 1886
Editor's Notes
I am slowly and surely making good progress and getting business on a solid base, thanks to the active and powerful cooperation of the Graces. We are solely delayed by the tardy arrival of supplies from NY. ##I wish to call your attention to my letter of this date to TAE (see Doc D8630H], and to ask you to do all you can to help this Exhibition. Grace is asking for consignments of electrical goods from all the principal American manufacturers, and I want to see TAE well represented. ##I should also like to make another deal with you. You are in a position where it is easy to get control of any new and important electrical inventions. If you will do this, and send samples, we will go halves on the spoils. Samples are in every case absolutely necessary, as these people do not believe anything they don't see. Send to W.R. Grace & Co., Hanover Square, for shipment to Valparaiso, along with full prices and catalogues. ##I see by the Bulletins that all goes well at home, and it makes me feel good to see such live management and such splendid results. We have a fine Catalogue in press and this will help us greatly.
