- Editor's Notes
- Referring to our letter from Jan. 30, 1885 regarding 3 HP motor for electric railroad, we are informed that you do not care to send us a motor on consignment for the purpose of making an exhibition to save the patent, which expires on April 24 of this year, if the system is not previously illustrated in the country. We regret this determination on your part, as the patent might in time become valuable, but do not see our way clear to purchase the motor in addition to the expenses of freight, laying of rails, etc., above what has already been spent to take out the patent. ##If any action can be taken to prolong the time granted for trial, we shall do what we can to secure the extenstion, leaving the question open for your further consideration.
