[One-page typed letter, Chicago to New York. Letterhead: Western Edison Light Company] Letter requesting TAE's presence at a "special meeting of the Board of Director's of this company [Western Edison Light]" to be "held at the company's office on Monday, Oct. 25, 1886 at 3 o'clock P.M." ## "The subject for consideration is the installation of a central station plant in the City of Chicago, and subscriptions to the capital stock of a sub-company to operate the same, paying this company a certain proportion of its capital stock for franchises." ## Letter informs TAE that company has closed a deal with "Eastern capitalists" for between $300,000-$400,000 to install a central station in one of our "principal" cities. 2 1/2 percent of capital is in cash, 271/2 percent in stock.
