- [D8633M1], Letter from Ezra Torrance Gilliland to Samuel Insull, June 18th, 1886
- Editor's Notes
- [Two-page handwritten letter, Adrian, Michigan to NY] Gilliland, who's having "every room" of house installed with electric light and gas, has just received estimates for cost from Insull. Writes that he has already telegraphed Insull to "go ahead" with installations. Gilliland says he doesn't "care anything particular about this" [i..e, about having house electrified] but may want to sell the house in the near future. Gilliland adds that he has "improved" in health and will be returning to NY soon. Gilliland makes a passing reference to a "Mr. Stokes" (who supplies him with a "permit" to give to wire men but it is unclear) but this persos appears to be unindexed.
