Received your cablegram this a.m. to pay annual fees due March###Interpret this to mean pay 10 pound fee on Patents 1023.82, 1139.82, 1142.82, 1191.82 and 1496.82; am carrying out instruction; it's past time to pay duty on 1023.82 but I applied with payment of extra 3 pound fee for time extension; have drawn on you from J.S. Morgan 95L, 9s, 2d to cover my disbursements and charges for specs on cases 77, 78, 79; duty on 1496.82 will come in another application; await instructions on duty for 1262.82, due 4/18; advise you to keep up Stern & Byllesby's patent 2336.62 as inquiries are being made by Ratcliffe Hard of London engineering firm. Could mean business; duty payable 5/18
