[LETTERHEAD: The Edison Machine Works] Reports on work being done by the Western Union Telegraph machines in Cincinnati. Gives total battery wires, cells, quadruplex circuits, duplex circuits, city wires, ticker circuits. Recommends making city wires so more instruments can be put on. On ticker circuits: "I think we should figure the machine in capacity to take about 20 circuits of sixteen instruments in each circuit." [TAE MARG: "One dynamo 360 volts giving 6 horsepower###All the lines###Another dynamo for printers."]
