Yours was received; have been sick and was unable to go to Chicago; Bergmann sent the papers I wanted; can make the sale if he can send a set of instruments that will stand the test; he must have the instruments here by the end of next week; several telephone companies are ready to start; "But the city will give me the first chance"; see Bergmann and let me know what he can do in the matter; may draw on you for $100; please accept the draft and charge it to my account; send letters c/o J.A.
