- Editor's Notes
- Enclosing copies of letters to Johnson on "our fixture business"; intend to call board of directors meeting to discuss the matter. Enclosed letter to Johnson (D8701AAP) notes that owing to an unequal contract with Edison Electric Light, Bergman & Co. is not able to take advantage of opportunities in the fixture business that would allow the company to "enormously increase our business . . . and double our dividends immediately." Company has refused $100,000 of orders stemming from failure of Mitchell, Vance & Co.; wants Johnson's views; scores of manufactures are now infringing on light patent but many would be willing to sign license with Bergman & Co. if contractual arrangement with Edison Light were changed.
