Editor's Notes

[selectable] "Confidential." Replies to letter of 7th; does not want to come to NYC and engage in "business mentioned" unless given share of profits as interested party; plans to establish a novelty manufacturing company in NYC and Chicago to make and sell office products and other novelties; would like TAE to license pertinent inventions to the new company on royalty basis--particularly the phonograph; if TAE approves, send a list of inventions he would place with us along with terms; would like to include TAE's name in company name, i.e., "The Edison-Dick Novelty Mfg. Co." or "The Edison Novelty Company." [Selectable letter]
