Title
[D8704ABK], Letter from A Brotherhood to Thomas Alva Edison, July 21st, 1887
Editor's Notes
[Letterhead: Office of Manning, Maxwell & Moore, Railway and Machinists' Tools and Supplies] Yours of 20th at hand; pleased to learn the electric headlight might be completed at an early date; warns that another company [name given but not deciphered, perhaps Mecca Part Co.] would like to use the engine on its own headlight design, but notes, "I much prefer leaving the matter in your hands"; notes the demand for headlight is urgent; have had chance for Northern Pacific headlights, "when they should have been running some time ago"; would co-operate in anyway in changing design of engine or helping the experiment succeed. [Marg. 1 "Have this shipped back here. Edison"] [Marg. 2: Ordered back July 28th. E.G.]
