- Title
- [D8704AET], Letter from Paul C Woodruff to Thomas Alva Edison, November 14th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- have an excellent insulating compound called "Fourmatine" [?] that can be applied to metals and won't easily come off; I make it in any color; will not shrink, crack or warp; is not affected by moisture, cold, nor heat up to 150 degrees; can be drilled or tapped; is less costly than other materials; it "is formed in hot steel dies under heavy pressure" and "will take a high finish"; will send samples, if you want.
