- Title
- [D8704AFF], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, November 30th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- Wants life-sized photo or photo-lithograph of TAE (with "hair somewhat falling over your forehead, which I remember impressed me as being a very admirable and powerful likeness of you"); want to hang one in the phonograph office and one in the saloon of the Royal Society; would also like to have one or more duplicates of the life-sized plaster cast of you I once saw; either have a copy made there or send me the one you have and I will make duplicates here; if it can be improved with assistance of your photograph, I would like to have it cut in marble--one for me and a second one for Mrs. Edison, if she will accept it.
