- Editor's Notes
- Last spring I took my wife and daughters on a drive up through Canada and then back down into the states to Cape May. Before starting out, the girls and I made some photos of the pretty places in our town [Port Huron], among them the beautiful grove of your father; got "a beautiful picture of the pines and of your father." [Gives an extended account of the trip] After staying 4 weeks on the beach near Cape May, we went to Vineland, where I left the family. When I left, the girls gave me the pictures to give to you; your father wanted you to have them; but couldn't connect with you; I see your father is now down at your place so I will send the pictures by mail; let me know if you receive them in good order.
