- Editor's Notes
- Do you recall a conversation between ourselves and S.G. Reid during negotiations over the formation of the Electric Railway Co. in which I mentioned to you a plan for a "railway connection involving two generating stations each of different polarity on either end of a railway track making return through the traffic rails and feeding through two supplemental rails"? [drawing included]; I've applied for a patent on the device and have been confronted with an English patent of 1883; you did not think much of the arrangement at the time.
