- Editor's Notes
- Would like a position in your laboratory; to my regret, I quit school in the 5th grade; am working now in the machine shop of Smith & Vaile Co. of Dayton [unindexed] where I've been 4 years; have been studying the principal branches of science, especially astronomy and electricity and am anxious to learn more about them but have had to support my parents; "If I could get a place like this in a laboratory which my father is willing and anxious for me to get, I could have a better chance of learning some of the wonders of science. I think it is a grand thing to be able to know the causes of the things that happen in this line."; can furnish references. [TAE Marg.: "File this in list of applications & tell him to send in his recommendations###also if he is a general machinist or what E"]
