Title

[D8713AAS], Letter from Arthur Edwin Kennelly to Ezra Torrance Gilliland, October 11th, 1887

Editor's Notes

[Letterhead: The Eastern Telegraph Company Limited] Am sending to Mr. Worthington, the editor of the "Electrical Review," a paper for his columns, and thought I would send a copy of the manuscript to you, since it might interest you.###Have not heard from you since my return to London re: the possibility of employment with TAE in the lab; look forward to hearing from you in hope for such a position, which would allow me to work on the same continent where my father lives; I find lab work "most congenial" though I have rarely been able to do it in my capacity as shipboard electrician for repairing cables.##Haven't mentioned possible employment with TAE to anyone in London aside from Pender, the chairman, and Sir James Anderson, managing director, "as I felt it was only right that I should do so." [Marg.: "TAE I will send the article he refers to, in next mail it will give you an idea of the mans capabilities Gill"] [See related letters D8713AAH and D8713AAY]
