Receipt of your letter of September 1 stating that the Italian Edison Co., Milan have informed you that they no longer wish to maintain the following Italian Edison patent: " Continental Set 2[-] applied 17th Oct, 81, delivered 25th Oct., 81, Italian Patent Office No. 4, Volume 27." This patent has been allowed to lapse in other European countries, and we do not find it necessary to maintain it ourselves, nor will we do anything regarding the action of the Italian Company.
