Title
[D8719AAM], Letter from Samuel Insull, Edison Machine Works to Alfred Ord Tate, March 5th, 1887
Editor's Notes
"I have your favor of the 4th, and as you will see from my letter received by you this morning I agree with you entirely as to dealing with Bergmann. He is the meanest man I know of to have anything to do with in stock transaction. I have advises from Messrs. Drexel, Morgan & Co. stating that they have sold 200 shares at 93, so that practically takes care of my thirty days loan and makes me entirely independent of Mr. Bergmann. Any-way I do not want to pursue any course which might around the ire of Mr. Coster. In order that you may understand that I do not want to deal with Bergmann I have wired you this morning to that effect. ## With relation to what you remark about the Germania Bank, you say this matter of discounts is getting to be serious. The troubl is it has been serious for the last four years." Marginalia: "Mch 7/87"
