- Title
- [D8719ABA], Letter from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, July 28th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- You make a mistake to write a letter to me kicing up a row about a matter which I referred to inform viz the flowing style of your signature. You do your brother an injustice to base your letter on information you got from him. Surely you have known me long enough to know that I am the only source of information from any establishment which I run & that I will not allow any of my clerks to retail gossip from my office. Your judgement was poor when you wrote such a letter. I threw it in the waste paper basket & should not have referred to the matter again were it not for the fact that your letter laid your brother open to a change of (to my mind) a serious breach of office discipline."
