- Editor's Notes
- "I enclose you herewith, a note for $2524.53. Please have Mr. Edison endorse this payable to Chas. Francis Stone, and arrange to get the ntoe to Mr. Stone sometime on Monday. He want it very particularly on that day. I telegraphed you on Thursday afternoon, asking you to see Mr. Stone on Friday and agree with him the total amount of the claim, and saying that I would settle it all by notes. Up to this writing I have heard nothing from you whatever, as to this matter, but have this morning received a very urgent letter from Mr. Stone, which compels me to send this note on account. I would very much prefer to get the matter entirely settled up."
