- "Your kind letter of Nov. 14 is before me. Many thanks for the same. I shall spend the winter in experimenting upon the voltameter mentioned, and will then know what accuracy I can depend upon. So far I have only used it in comparison with the silver voltameter, and could not always tell to which instrument the inaccuracy belonged. I am now testing it by Helmholtz' method of measuring the current by the magnetic balance. ## Whether it shall prove a success or not, I am very grateful to you for taking time to reply to my questions."
