This man makes a specialety = I see now hope of eve[-] having my plan Carried out, and the nearest we will ever get to it is to secure Davis of Sawyer Man [----] & at almost any price. Let us hire their best men from all the Cos & at once -- ## I would be willing to best [bet?] they sold these plants without our knowledge 1/2 anyway --" Marginalia by Edward Hibberd Johnson: "find out from the agent how they came to lose these plants"
