- Editor's Notes
- "As a treasurer of the Edison Machine Works, I have just drawn on Thomas A. Edison, 40 & 42 Wall Street, at sight for $4,000 ## I have accepted this draft as Attorney for Mr. Edison, under same date, and payable at the Germania Bank in New York. ## This is in part payment of the two notes discounted to-day by Mr. Edison. Please send a check here to balance this discount and also the previous discounts, as per your last statement. In your letter to us you speak as if the two United Co's. notes were both discounted by Mr. Edison. As I understand it the $2,000 note was discounted by the Machine Works and the larger one by Mr. Edison."
