"I have your letter of Oct. 29th stating that you have been informed of my verbal agreement with Mr. Bergmann regarding my subscription to a certain number of shares of the capital stock of the Edison Wiring Co.. ## It would gratify me exceedingly were I able at the present time to become interested in a Company the success of which I feel in assured, but, as explained to Mr. Bergmann when the matter was mentioned to me, I cannot at the moment participate in the enterprise."
