- Editor's Notes
- "I was glad to receive yesterday your favor of June 2d in re Ore Milling Stock. To hear from you is a sure sign, I hope, that the reports about your ill health have been greatly exagerated. ## The contents of your letter, however, disappointed me, because I gathered therefromm that the stock is at present worthless, having only a propsective value. ## Would your invention have value here, do you think, if applied in the mining sections, and if so could I show it in any way, so as to make it mutually advantageous? If so, and you can send me all the necessary diagrams and explanations that I might be asked about, I will do all in my power, consistent with my official position. ## I hope you will give the thing a shove ahead, [--------] induced one of my friends to invest in it at a very high figure ($500 a share I believe) and I would not like him to be a loser. ## I hope you health is completely restored."
