- "Phonograph" ## Nearly every body I meet asks me if it "is a fact that Edison has preferred his Phonograph"? a rumor to that effect & having it appears been going the rounds of the English paper -- I haven't yet been able to get hold of the papers [---]? to but shall try to & will send you anything of interest that appears from time to time upon that subject -- Please f[---] [--] likewise with American papers. ## I have found a quite (?) capital offices for "Edison Phonographs" in [-----] [------] [--] -- & shall be all ready for you -- ## I have not yet been able to find out about the 3? English [---------] but will next week -- But we must rely upon new patents -- plus Excellence & cheapness of [------] I am [----------] [----] [------] & Copyrights &c. ## NB. A further advantage in a flat "phonogram" is that both sides might be made available for use! Thus halving at once their cost and space they would occupy. ## My wife [-----] [--] kind regards to yourself & Mrs Edison"
