- [D8751AAK], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, November 30th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- "Thanks for your long and interesting letter of the 16th, just received. I am delighted with the great progress you appear to have made. I have already set on foot inquiries regarding the match boxes; these of course we must make over here, and I shall lose no time in the necessary preparations. ## I enclose copy of 'Invention,' and will try and send you a copy of the 'Electrical World,' referred to. ## Immediately on receipt of this, will you please say to me by stenographer whatever you have to say in criticism of this so-called 'Gramophone'? (Another distortion of the original!) ## P.S.--WHAT INTERNAL DIAMETER AND LENGTH MUST THE PHONOGRAM ENVELOPE OR BOX BE? As soon as I am in possession of these dimensions, I can have a quantity made."
