"Yours of the 10th giving one a list of Material shipped to J W Fortune Detroit received. Bergman & Co shipped the naterial in my name and of course I had to pay express charges Before Mr Fortune started for New York he asked me to purchase what I needed this will consist of 8 Carboys of Electropoion (?) for the 8 offices to be Phoned (?). Local battery & blue Vitriol for same and one to equip the circuit and after paying Express charges on the Condensers which have not yet arrived it would leave me penniless hence the request for permission to draw one hundred dollars for which please accept thanks. I expect to make the draft on Monday of which I will promptly notify you -- I enclose a list of material recd to date."
