Title

[D8801AAM], Letter from William Henry Meadowcroft to Thomas Alva Edison, June 6th, 1888

Editor's Notes

"I send you by express three cells of the Roberts-Brevoort Electric Light Battery, and by freight a Carboy of solution for the same, and a barrel containing zinc and carbons. ### You will remember that Mr. Upton has been obtaining figures for you on Electric Light Batteries recently, and he desired me to obtain the above named batteries and send them to you. I enclose herewith a sketch of the connections, made by the Roberts-Brevoort people, and directions for setting up the batteries. They claim that these connections should be made exactly in the manner they prescribe, otherwise their battery will not do the work that it otherwise would. ### I have seen one of their batteries up-town, and it certainly does very good work as far as I can judge. ### In a few days I will send you another set of batteries of the Mason-Wood Company which Mr. Upton has asked me to obtain for you." Yours very truly, Wm. H. Meadowcroft
