- [letterhead: "The Perfect Battery"] "Replying to your favor of the 14th I have your letter of the 14th to Mr. Gilliland, which he was good enough to forward to me. Immediately on receipt of it I ordered suitable carbon plates made, as suggested in the last paragraph, and as soon as recd I will forward them to you with ample quantity of excilant. I expected them before this time, but making specially as all my plates are, is probably the cause of delay. I will do all I can to hurry them and will forward and advise as soon as possible." ; [refers to battery]
