- Editor's Notes
- "In reply to yours of the 28th. Ins. I am sorry to say that I cannot take up all the notes for you, but I can use the first four. Our bank will not take any paper over 4 months and as it is two of these notes will have to be held a few days yet before they will come within that time. I may be able to use those for you later on if you cannot yourself dispose of that meanwhile. If you will send the notes I can let you have the check within a week. ### Hoping this will be satisfactory, I remain"
