Title
[D8802AAE], Letter from Sigmund Bergmann to Thomas Alva Edison, February 11th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"In answer to your favor of the 30th ult. On the subject of assessment for laboratory experiments to be conducted in our interest, on looking into the matter I beg to say, that I find the greatest part of our own experimental expenses is for improvement on our electric light apparatus and that it amounts to quite a large sum; and I think that $150.00 per week in addition to this will be too heavy a tax on us. I therefore beg, as a compromise to offer to pay $400.00 per month, that is about $100.00 per week, for which you will give us credit as outlined in your letter and should we find after a while that it is not enough, and by which time we will be able to judge better of results, we can then allow another $50.00 a week or more if necessary. Instead of sending you the money every week I propose also to sent it once a month which will be less bother. ### I will be obliged to have you reply personally letting me know if this is not satisfactory." Yours truly S. Bergmann [Marginalia: "Ans Feb 1888"]
