Title
[D8805ABO], Letter from Daniel Freeman Tompkins to Thomas Alva Edison, March 15th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Your painting is nearly finished and promises to be quite a success. From the way in which I am situated it would be a great help to me, could I, at the time it is delivered secure from you $150 included what you may pay for the painting, the price of which you will fix, the difference to be returned to you in a few weeks, or as soon as I can get it from wood I have had cut on land of mine in Sussex County on the [unclear] mountain. The storm has prevented me from giving up there as I had planned for money. Hoping this will find you and Mrs. Edison will I remain Dear Sir." Respectfully and sincerely yours, Daniel F. Tompkins
