"I have today received your very kind reply to my appnt enclosing a cheque for one hundred dollars- allow me to thank you most sincerely for this most liberal expense in which my dear mother most cordially views. This a [unclear] a friend away the very many denials and his opportunity [unclear] it [unclear] site moved by [unclear] impluses. I am in [unclear] may deemed boy [unclear] with the Telephone Co. in Liverpool, will follow in his famed father's footsetps but with different success. He is a deliginent student of electrical subjects his [unclear] attendings his courses of lectures + has just talked a first class [unclear] elementary stage of [unclear] electricity- privy [unclear] of Education Dept.
