- "At the suggestion of D. Thurston I write its to inform you of the condition of the Edison plant in Sibley College- In the main it is in good shape- I hope to improve it considerably however and to show something besides plain old drop lighting- If you desire to add to your genorisity-by sending any peculiar appliances. I will gladly erect same. In [unclear] machine sharp I find lamps have been frequently broken and desire to practice- same and increase their effectiveness by putting plain tin shades on same-for which we are head above-60-2 1/4" shade holder all told. ### Also I desire to have a sample case in my lecture some of Edison exhibits and would be much pleased with [unclear] in that line apparatus or photo. ### In use in our course and to use in a public lecture Buffalo during the coming winter a board or case containing samples of a Edison lamp is [unclear] of construction would be of very just interest. ### IT may interest you to hear that the boys practice with [unclear] soldering for--like [unclear] under my direction as will so with looks vc."
