Mrs. Stephens expects to be in Newark about the 1st of September. I intend if it meets with your approval to send my son Edwin on at the same time for her to place him with you as per our agreement made last October to found on my return to Henderson [NC] after my interview with you that circumstances prevented my sending him at that time as agreed upon. I trust you will make room for him now. Please let me know as soon as you can. [New name mention: Edwin Stephens, Jr.]
