Title
[D8815AAO], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Thomas Ebdell, February 11th, 1888
Editor's Notes
re our conversation the day before yesterday, if you are satisfied that you can handle the work, I will engage you from Monday morning next, at the salary mentioned in your letter 3d. I desire to get the chemicals in order at the earliest moment, and as there is a great deal of back work it will necessitate a good deal of hard work at the commencement. If after a trial sufficiently long to test your ability to handle this Department you prove yourself capable of doing so, the position will be permanent and subject to an increase of salary. # If you desire this offer, please report here to me at nine Monday morning, or as soon thereafter as possible.
