TAE replies to your letter 5th that he will give you employment at the Lab here in connection with the phonograph. He desires you to learn all about the operation of this instrument, and when you become proficient he will give you a situation in some city where the services of an expert are required. Your salary to start on will be twelve dollars per week, and afterwards an increase will depend upon the ability you display.
