Title
[D8818ABV], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Edison Machine Works, Joseph Hutchinson, January 27th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I had a conversation with Mr. Coster and Mr. Hastings in regard to South American business which is currently in the hands of the Edison Electric Light Co." Mr. Hasting's company is doing good business in South America. He says all his So. Am. contracts are in such shape that anyone can be closed out immediately except the agreement with W.E. Grace & Co. Brazil is or will be in a few days open. If you can show the electric Light company that you can take care of this business, you can doubtless obtain it at once.
