Title
[D8818ACF], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Electrical World, Joseph Wetzler, January 30th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"In reference to your letter of the 26 inst., I beg to say that Iridium wire cannot be made, as iridium is a brittle metal." A platinum wire is made, however, with 20% iridium, which is stroner than pure platinum. TAE goes into more detail about the platinum-iridium wire.
