Title
[D8818ACO], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Edison Lamp Co, February 2nd, 1888
Editor's Notes
We have your letter of the 31st ult., in reference to your weekly remittance, and we will make our statements monthly as you request.##In regard to Mr. Marshall checking our bills, we do not object at all to having our accounts checked, but we do not like the idea of calliing upon Mr. Marshall to perform such work as you wish him to undertake. Our bills wil be rendered to you in a thoroughly comprehensive manner and can be reasily verified by your records. It is not practicable for us to have Mr. Marshall siign all the orders for materials used in conection with lamp experiments. We have a superintendent of experimenters, who authorizes all orders for materials used by those under him, and it will complicate matters very much to carry out your suggestions. Your bills can be checked muxh more readily by some one in your office, who will have our assistance in verifying the accounts.
