Title
[D8818ACP], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to George Edward Gouraud, February 2nd, 1888
Editor's Notes
I beg to confirm my cable of this morning as follows "NOSIDE, LONDON, Do not approve domestic"##This refers to your memorandum of Jan. 5th in regard to Domestic telephone. I do not care to have my name used in connection with this instrument. I have your cablegram of 31st ult., as follows "License found; hurry letters; answer Domestic."##The above cablegram answers the last part of your message. In regard to letters which you want, I have searched my records thoroughly and can find no correspondence of the London Stereoscopic & Photographic Co. I have ascertained that the matter of the disclaimer was entirely in the hands of the firm with which Mr. Waterhouse was connected in 1880. I presume you have consulted Messrs. Waterhouse, Winterbotham & Harrison. I am still hunting for information for you and will communicate anything of interest immediately it comes to light.
