- Title
- [D8818AMY], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Henry Woodfin Grady, June 16th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- re your letter 9th, re obtaining a Phonograph to exhibit at Chautauqua. It will give me so much pleasure to do all that lies in my power to carry out your wishes. Gilliland, No. 19 Dey Street, NYC, is the General Agent of the Edison Phonograph Co, and I do not know what his arrangements are re the State of Georgia, or whether your scheme would conflict with plans he already made. I have written Gilliland to-day, that I desire to do what you ask, and asking to arrange the matter with you.
