Title
[D8818ANK], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Henry M Livor, Edison Machine Works, June 22nd, 1888
Editor's Notes
New name mentions: Garvin, and Springfield Emery Co. Yours June 20th rec'd. We send to-day the official order to Garvin for the saw bench. # re Springfield Emery Co. salesman, he is working us a little. I told him we had already bought some grinding machines and that you were buying all the machinery for us. I referred him to you. When he came back he told me that you had ordered one sent us on trial. I think it a good thing to try, as I believe in grinding by the wet way in preference to the dry; but I must maintain that what he told you is exactly what I did not say. # Will write you re the milling machines in a day or so. # We shall send order to the Machine Works for the ten counter shafts for precision lathe, as they are very simple to make.
