- Editor's Notes
- Mr. Edison was more than surprised at the information contained in your letter of yesterday. That any discourtesy could have been shown to a visitor at this Laboratory is something which we did not believe possible. Mr. Edison has always been most generous with the Press and appreciates fully the kindly relations which have existed between himself and your journal, and in order to carry out his wishes I the matter of accommodating any newspaper representatives who might come to the Laboratory we detailed one of our Phonograph Experts for the duty of exhibiting the phonograph, relieving him of all other work so as to ensure the proper attention. The writer cannot imagine whom your representative could have seen, but will make an immediate investigation and take such action as will prevent a recurrence of the unfortunate event.#Whenever you desire to send a representative to this Laboratory, you can do so feeling that he will obtain all information that it is possible for us to furnish and which it will be a pleasure for us to give."
